John Brown University Events
The John Brown University Events Office manages all university events on the Siloam Springs campus and serves as a resource for external guests looking to host an event on campus. JBU has various venues perfect for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, and receptions.
JBU’s Cathedral of the Ozarks is one of the most iconic buildings in NWA and a perfect place for a small or large wedding ceremony. This exquisite sanctuary seats up to 900 guests. This historic building features tall, ornate stained-glass windows, beautifully crafted dark wooden pews, and a flawless limestone exterior. The Cathedral of the Ozarks’s beauty is reminiscent of the rolling slopes of NWA, as was the original intent of John Brown Sr. when it was built in 1945. Many brides have also held their wedding ceremony just outside of the Cathedral.
JBU’s banquet hall, Simmons Great Hall, is a beautiful and versatile banquet facility. You can hold an event of up to 600 guests or the room can be divided into subsections to accommodate groups as small as 25 people. JBU has hosted many weddings, receptions, banquets, conferences, seminars, dinners, luncheons, Fortune 500 company events, and more in this venue. SGH is equipped with an advanced audio visual system with multiple floor panels with phone and data connections as well as a distributed sound system. The quality ceiling projection system, four retractable screens, motorized window-shading systems, and pre-programmable lighting system provide our guests with the convenience to plan everything from elaborate presentations to simple luncheons. JBU’s dining and catering services are conveniently adjacent to the Simmons Great Hall for attentive and quality catering and beverage service.
